| These are large wall mounted clocks with dial diameters of
some 2ft. They really need to be mounted fairly high up and are ideally suited
for a large hall way. Other situations particularly suited to them are
Churches, Village halls, Community halls and Schools etc. The construction of
the movement is straightforward and the illustrations show the Myford ML 7
being used. The whole of the work was carried out by the author on this lathe
including all the wheelcutting. The construction of the case is ably described
by my colleague Jack Cox. I have included a manually operated form of
maintaining work and the clock should have an accuracy of within 5 seconds a
week. It is of 8 days duration and is a most impressive clock.
