The Castle Clock is an 8-day weight driven wall clock designed to be mounted on a shelf bracket. It is intended that the movement be exposed to view and in consequence the plates are semi skeletonised. The movement is fitted with maintaining work and 'one at the hour' striking. The clock was designed for machining on one of the modern small and versatile lathes available today. In fact the entire construction including all the wheelcutting and the engraved dial were all carried out on the Unimat 3 lathe.
With 70 pages and over 250 illustrations and drawings.
This is a suitable project for the newcomer to clockmaking
