The main features of this most attractive clock are the simplicity in the design of the inverted Y frames together with the large main wheel. Despite its size this wheel was cut in the author's Myford ML 7 lathe. A further interesting feature to note is the equal size of both the third and escape wheels. This balances the upper part of the clock. The movement is driven by a mainspring in a going barrel and optional stopwork is described in the text.            J Wilding

When cutting out the frames allow extra material around the diamond area to alter the shape after depthing, allow the diamond shape to be moved up or down a little do not finish the diamond shape as per plan before depthing.
