| This clock is of simple but elegant, modern
design, It runs for a clear 8 days and its time keeping is filly up to
domestic standards. The clock measures 13.1/2" high with base
dimensions of 8" x
6.1/2".
The design is simple to manufacture and is eminently suitable for the
model engineer making his first clock, The only requirements are a
hobby lathe, a small drilling machine and the usual range of hand tools
possessed by the model engineer, all materials are readily available,
including wheel & pinion blanks with the wheel teeth & pinion
leaves ready
cut.
The spiral bound A4 manual contains 17 pages of fully dimensioned detail
drawings & 24 pages of detailed construction notes to assist the
first time
constructor. Cutters Module 0.6, 0.55 Mr Parslow has now informed me that this clock will run for 16 days with slightly stronger spring than indicated in the book |
|
This is a suitable project for the newcomer to clockmaking
